Given that Notes/Domino had it's first security flaw in quite some time, I was checking out the technotes and found the following:
VIII. DISCLOSURE TIMELINE
04/21/2004 Exploit acquired by iDEFENSE
05/05/2004 iDEFENSE clients notified
05/05/2004 Initial vendor notification
05/07/2004 Initial vendor response
06/23/2004 Public disclosure
It only took Lotus six weeks to fix the vulnerabilities, as opposed to six months the competition normally takes. I think this says a LOT for IBM and Lotus.

While none of the vulnerabilities mentioned on SearchSecurity.com (and elsewhere) should cause anyone to panic, you might want to at least be aware of them until you upgrade to 6.0.4 or 6.5.2.
One is a problem that has the potential for some nasty cross-site scripting and was discovered within IBM/Lotus (Technote. The Notes URI handler problem (IBM Technote) is really something else ;-) These security folks sure come up with strange suff from time to time.
LotusRnext.net, launched late 2002, was created to make it easier to Lotus administrators and developers. Even tough there are many resources on Lotus administration, development, and tools, it's difficult to find out which one to choose, where to get, and what is best suitable in your company. We've organized all these programs, code samples, templates and add-ons by catalogs so you can find the codes, templates, files or tools that fit your company or meet your interests easily.
I'd really love to have a short videoclip of this quote to show to my grandchildren in about 20-25 years. When they come after their first day in kindergarten and tell me about the cool collaboration software they have there. Also check out the comments, 21 comments so far covering the wide range from really funny to seriously thought-provoking.
Apparently no video is available of the rehearsal. But I see an ever so slight possibility of someone going to the DNUG conference ... ah, nevermind.
Don't know if this is widely known, but I found a nice new feature in the Notes 6.x client. On the file menu, there is a new entry "New" which lists stuff like new memo, new contact etc. There is also a smarticon for it, the third one from the left. Let's say I want a New Phone Message entry in there. Create a new Phone Message and drag the tab into the folder "Create" in the bookmarks folder "More Bookmarks". It will show up now in the File/new Menu and the smarticon. Works with any other form as well. A nice shortcut to often used forms.

I came across this link on Richard Schwartz's Web Log and thought it made a for very interesting reading. I had not seen it before.
What do you all think?
