3rd Party ProductsHave you wondered how to get your Lotus Notes Calendar entries over to Google Calendar? With this free utility, you can simply select the calendar entries in your Lotus Notes mail/calendar, and do a Actions / Export to iCal. The result are .ICS files that you can use to import into any iCal/vCal compliant calendar including the popular Google Calendar!

    *Download

Requirements: (1) Notes Domino Designer application, (2) Designer Access to your Notes Mail file, (3) Ability to sign your agents/script libraries.

Installation: (1) Extract Zip file to your Notes Data directory, (2) Open up Domino Designer, (3) CTRL-O to open up iCalExport.nsf, (4) Navigate to Script Libraries, (5) If you haven't signed the database with your Notes ID, you can sign the elements individually, (6) CTRL-C to copy all the Script Library elements, (7) CTRL-O to open up your Notes mail database, (8) Navigate to Script Libraries, (9) CTRL-V to paste, (10) Go back to the iCalExport database and navigate to Agents, (11) CTRL-C to copy the 'Export to iCal' agent, (12) Go back to your Notes Mail database, (13) Navigate to Agents, (14) CTRL-V to paste, (15) Finally, close out of Designer, and open up your Notes calendar. (16) Select any entries you wish to export. (17) Go to Actions > Export to iCal (18) Check the output folder. (19) Import the .ICS files to your favorite Calendar. (20) Enjoy!

Based on code in iCal Import Utility on Lotus Sandbox. Unfortunately, the installer only works on Lotus Notes 5. Mr. McReady could not be contacted, so therefore, I took it to myself to enable the export function on Notes 6 / 7 clients.

Excellent Utility. I have downloaded and tried. It works.

The only missing part is while importing in Google Calendar, i had to import the .ics file one by one to add events in the Gcalendar.

Is there any other way to import all in one shot. If there is a way, i would be extremely delighted.

If you change the script to use a hardcoded filename it will actually write every event into 1 file making it alot easier to import in google calendar.

I have downloaded and installed this and something is not working very well. The meeting times are wrong when they get imported. THe dates are wrong if it is a recurring meeting. Is this an issue or am I doing something wrong?

I too am having problems getting my LN calendar entries to gCal. I followed all the steps and it is exporting an iCal file. However, when I try to import it to gCal, nothing happens. I took a look at the iCal file and it looks reasonable (meaning I don't know exactly how it should look, but it has entries that look like they are correct). Any ideas?

Also, I would love to have an option somehow to just export everything from a certain date range...or to automatically export new calendar entries as they come in. Just some thoughts. Thanks.

OK, new update here. It appears that some entries do work. I just made a test appointment in Lotus Notes and exported that and I was able to import that into Google Calendar just fine.

However, it appears that meetings are not working correctly. I can post what the iCal file looks like for the meeting notice if that will help at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I posted this over at the gCal Goolge Group to see if anyone there might have any ideas ( http://groups.google.com/group/google-calendar-help-bugs/browse_thread/thread/d8ba11e672966b2f ). It appears that nobody does as nobody is responding at either place. Oh well.

Sorry, I've been busy lately, and I've finally decided to come check how things have been going in this post. To answer everyone's questions... Unfortunately, at the moment I do not offer any support for this script. If you get the itch to modify the code, please do so and let me know if they work, so that I may add the changes to the script that I have installed on my mail db. Also, hopefully the 7.0.2 release of Lotus Notes will alleviate all these support issues (as the new announcements say that it will have iCalendar support built-in).
